Mission Statement
The Language 学习 Center serves the needs of 教师, 学生, and the Hampton Roads community in promoting the study of world languages through the use of technology-enhanced methods and materials. The LLC has been an integral part of the World Languages and 文化 Department in the 文学院 and 信 since its inception in 1992. 发球次数超过5次,690 visitors annually, the LLC is committed to instructional technology for world language learning and quality instruction.
Our commitment to Old Dominion University and the Hampton Roads community is to provide leadership in the development, 集成, 评价, and management of instructional technology for the teaching and learning of language, 文学, and culture based on pedagogically sound research, 最佳实践, and the World-Readiness Standards for 学习 Languages.
The Language 学习 Center (LLC) is located in the 文学院 & 信, BAL 3061. Both the physical and virtual spaces of the LLC offer many world language resources to 学生, 教师, 校园, 和社区.

Language 学习 Center Student Assistant, Judah Joshua was recognized at the annual Honor Society Induction Ceremony hosted by the Department of World Languages and 文化 on Friday, 4月19日, 2024. The National German Honor Society, 的, "seeks to recognize excellence in the study of German and to provide an incentive for higher scholarship. The Society aims to promote the study of German language, 文学, and civilization and endeavors to emphasize those aspects of German life and culture which are of universal value and which contribute to humanity's eternal search for peace and truth". We congratulate Judah on this prestigious award and accomplishment.
